Today was another swift pass at death for me. it all started at about 8:40 this morning. the morning i will forget soon after telling you this story, (alcohal of course). I, after long wait of needing to take my car to get the shop and get my brakes worked on. it's been a topic of disscusion between me and the missus. i took it to "car X" (mainly because of the ridiculously dangerous drive that i knew i had ahead of me and they where the cheapest/closet of most all.) they qouted me at about $230 when i left the building. like i'm sure you all know mechanics are never gonna see all that's wrong until after your gone. anyway so i guessed that i would get a call (like i did) that it would cost more becuase of some suedo belivable reasons. it ended up costing $336.75(mind you i got a discont of $20 for bringing in some canned goods for the poor.) at which i had to bit a big bullet and forgo buying chritmas gifts for much of anybody. from that point i was on my way to get my paycheck. my carpool buddy carl came to get me and we were on our way. but a quick pick up was not in our future. no, our checks where late that day. A hour and a half late and as i was waiting i got the call that my car was done. so my buddy and i went to go cash said checks. but to our amusement it appeared that our "company" paychecks had not been able to be cashed and we should call a number to go see why. we were told that they were...CONTERFEIT.. you read that right. and we had to go to an out of the way GAS STATION to get them cahsed. finally i was on the way to get my car. got there got my keys and was told of nothing strange else that they could have seen. as i was on my way home though the gas line ruptured and was spraying gas all under my hood. while i was drving. on the INTERSTAE DURING RUSH HOUR. my car instead of blowing up (god thank you) much still just as horribly pant shitting scary , decided to just stop. in the middle lane with all the traffic barrleing past me and three tractor trailers that also weren't slowing down. i narrowly was missed by the one behind me. it took about a mile and a half to find a safe place to set my car and figuer a way home. which i am now. finally.writing this tale of fucked-updedness. ta-ta kiddies..mind you all this my seem about strange but i blame this whole day on the pants that i was wearing. they will be burned tomorrow.
